With striker Valeri Bojinov out till February, at least, with a knee injury, Manchester City is interested in Bolton striker Nicolas Anelka. West Ham have had some interest in Anelka as well. I'd love to see him splitting time with Craig Bellamy and Dean Ashton and squeezing out the playing time of Bobby Zamora, who didn't play well in either match. Zamora still has his uses, but it would be a much stronger club if he were a substitute striker only.

I have mixed feelings about this one. We could use another pacy striker (Bianchi and Mpenza seem to be power/positioning types so far), and I used to love watching Nic for the Sky Blues - his goals kept us up almost singlehandedly a couple years bacl. His mixture of pace, flair, and shooting make him a middle-class man's Thierry Henry.
However, lots of City fans were upset by how he sulked his way out of the club, dropping some insults on the way out the door.
I took a lot of stick after having insisted to my friends that "Le Sulk" was in the past and he'd found a lasting home in Manchester!
